HOMEWORK

  Reading
Please make sure your child has a book to read at home.  Once we get going there will be a monthly "choice" book and a monthly "California" book to be read independently at home. There is a format for book reports that are due each month on the books being read.  Due date for the book report is  WED APRIL 30.
LOCAL HISTORY PROJECTS instead of book reports are due April 23.
Book Report  "Instructions"
The final report should be copied over in complete sentences and paragraphs on a separate sheet of paper after an adult has corrected the notes on the book report form (or it has been brought to me to check. ) Final reports should be neat, complete, written by the student (not typed yet) and relatively error free. Students may read any book of choice for the report and the number of pages should be noted in the report. If a student is reading an especially long book, after checking with me, s/he may do the report on the first half of the book one month and then complete the report in the second month. The report should be turned in on the last day of the month or the first day back to school if the month ends on a weekend. This month that’s Feb 29.
